「爵士古典精華及音響測試（三）」，裡面則收錄了佛烈得?赫酗T重奏（The Fred Hersch Trio）所詮釋的Dizzy Gillespie名曲「Con Alma」、黑人女歌手拉芬?巴特勒（LaVerne Butler）所重唱的慢板爵士經典情歌「I Cover Waterfront」，古典樂曲則有「康乃迪克早期音樂節慶合奏團」（Connecticut Early Music Festival Ensemble）詮釋韋瓦第（Vivaldi）的「四季�冬」，以及西敏寺合唱團（Westminster Choir）演唱莫劄特（Mozart）的作品「聖體頌」（Ave Verum Corpus）。除了演奏、演唱的樂曲以外，這兩張作品可以說是讓樂迷們認識所謂「音效」的最佳入門片--完整呈現Chesky Records的音樂理念：在專輯中呈現出音樂的「空間感」。一般樂迷對於錄音室裡面的種種細節安排可能沒有很明確的概念，但是在聽過這兩張唱片裡面所進行的種種音效試驗以後，大致上就可以瞭解，什麼是「音場」（Sound-stage）的概念：聲源位於各個不同方位，到底各自會呈現什麼不同效果？「音場」的「深度」（depth）是怎麼一回事？在錄音室裡面，麥克風的不同糧]方式、樂器位置的不同分佈安排，又分別會呈現什麼不同的「空間感」（ambience）數位的錄音方式與類比的錄音方式又有何不同？這一切都可以獲得解答。
